RE:Capital Improvement Project - Phase 3 (BCA Project No. 2010-113)
The General Brown Central School District is conducting an EXCEL capital project commencing on or about November 1, 2011. This project will be conducted at the General Brown Central School District's Dexter Elementary, Glen Park Elementary and the Jr. /Sr. High School. The project will consist of air conditioning and new seating in the Jr. /Sr. High School auditorium and Elementary main offices, window replacement, mechanical and electrical upgrades, and re-surfacing and reconstruction of the parking lots at Dexter Elementary and the Jr. /Sr. High School.
Pursuant to Education Commissioner's Regulation 155.5(d), the General Brown Central School District will continue to provide a safe school environment throughout this project, including an update of the school emergency plan to reflect any temporary exits or procedures needed as a result of the construction work. Fire drills will be held to familiarize students and staff with any temporary exits. The construction area will be separated from occupied areas of the buildings, all construction workers will be required to wear photo identification badges, and noise levels will be kept to a minimum while the buildings are occupied. All applicable Federal and State rules and regulations will be strictly adhered to throughout the length of this project.
