RE: Capital Improvement Project - Phase 2 (BCA Project No. 2006-142)
The General Brown Central School District is conducting an EXCEL capital project commencing on or about May 1, 2010. This project will be conducted at the General Brown Central School District's Glen Park Elementary and the Jr./Sr. High School. The project will consist of new masonry veneer, window and door replacement, mechanical and electrical upgrades, addressable fire alarm system, security system, roof replacement and a turf field at the Jr./Sr. High School.
Pursuant to Education Commissioner's Regulation 155.5(d), the General Brown Central School District will continue to provide a safe school environment throughout this project, including an update of the school emergency plan to reflect any temporary exits or procedures needed as a result of the construction work. Fire drills will be held to familiarize students and staff with any temporary exits. The construction area will be separated from occupied areas of the buildings, all construction workers will be required to wear photo identification badges, and noise levels will be kept to a minimum while the buildings are occupied. All applicable Federal and State rules and regulations will be strictly adhered to throughout the length of this project.
