Mrs. Heller - Reading
I attended General Brown my entire school-age years and graduated in 1993. I received an associate degree in liberal arts from JCC, a bachelor's degree in math and elementary education from Houghton College and a master's degree in literacy from SUNY Potsdam. In 1998, I began my career at General Brown as a classroom teacher in the Brownville building. After ten years in the classroom, I decided I needed a change, and I have been a reading teacher ever since! I am grateful to have a job that I can help students gain literacy skills to become independent, life-long learners.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three sons, watching my sons play sports, reading and cooking.
