New page to serve as hub for COVID-19 information, resources
In an effort to keep the school community up to date with information related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the General Brown Central School District has created a new page on the district website titled “COVID-19 Information & Updates.”
The link for the webpage is located in the “Quick Links” column on the right side of the District homepage and is intended to be a hub for COVID-19 resources that families may reference. For example, after positive COVID-19 notification letters are initially posted on the District's homepage under "Announcements," they will be transferred to the “COVID-19 Information & Updates” page, where they can be accessed for 14 days.
This new page also includes reminders for meal pickups for remote learners and access to the Urgent Needs Form. The Urgent Needs Form can be used for families to express any need that may arise, and District Leadership will assist in meeting those needs, including reaching out to community agencies that partner with the District to serve General Brown families.
On the left-hand column of this page, there are several other helpful links that will provide additional information for families, such as the COVID-19 Screening Attestation, which should be completed by all students and employees prior to entering a school building daily, and the NYSDOH COVID-19 Report Card, which outlines reported positive cases in each school building.
As new cases and quarantines arise among staff and students, the District is working closely with Jefferson County Public Health in an effort to keep all students and employees safe while keeping the school buildings open. Call or email your child’s building principal or Superintendent Barbara Case with questions or concerns.
