Elementary schools to welcome summer school students
The six-week elementary summer school program kicks off July 6, and all who have been enrolled should have received a letter in the mail with the details.
The program is meant to enrich and strengthen students’ abilities and skills in a fun and invigorating environment to better prepare them to enter their next grade level in September.
Summer school will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from July 6-August 12. Session 1 students will attend July 6-July 22, and Session 2 students will attend July 27-August 12. Some students are scheduled to attend all six weeks.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all students each day of the program. All school supplies also will be provided by the district.
Transportation for students is being provided by the district. Approximate morning pick-up times were provided in the letters that were mailed home. Questions about busing can be directed to the transportation department at 779-2300, option 5, option 1.
Those with questions about summer school should call the Dexter or Brownville-Glen Park main offices at 315-779-2300.
