• Dear Parents/Guardians,

We have had a great start to the 2018-2019 school year!  Students has settled in and are working hard.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Thursday, November 15th from 4:00pm - 8:10pm and Friday, November 16th from 11:50am - 4:00pm.  Both days will be 1/2 days for students with walkers/student pick-ups being dismissed at 11:05am and bus students released at 11:15am.  AM Pre-K students should be picked up at 10:45am on these two days.  There will be no PM Pre-K during parent-teacher conference days.  Conference letters will be sent home with students in the next few weeks.

Students once again participated in Red Ribbon week.  Students dressed up in different theme days in an effort to say "No To Drugs."  In addition, we had a DARE officer come in and give our 5th and 6th grade students a presentation on drugs and violence.

The district has once again partnered with PIVOT of Jefferson County to provide our students with Character Education programs.  These programs encourage and promote students to learn social and communication skills along with strategies to help them make safe and practical decisions and also how to prevent and deal with bullying.

Our Halloween Parade will be held on Wednesday, October 31st at 9:30am.  It will be held outside as long as the weather cooperates.  There will be a flyer sent home discussing the details of the parade and the days activities.

As the seasons start to change, please see that your child is properly dressed for the weather elements.  Classes do continue to go outside during the fall and even winter months so we want to insure your child is dressed properly.

We look forward to seeing everyone at our Parent-Teacher Conferences coming up in November!
