We are proud to announce the General Brown Board of Education recently appointed Mrs. Amy Scott as the next principal of Brownville-Glen Park Elementary School. She will begin her new position on July 1st.

Mrs. Scott has been the Assistant Principal of Brownville-Glen Park for the past year. Before she came to General Brown she was a long time elementary teacher for the Pulaski Central School District. She spent much of that time teaching first and fourth grades while serving as a mentor teacher for others.

Mrs. Scott holds New York State Teaching Certifications in multiple areas including: Literacy, Childhood Education, School Building Leader, and School District Leader. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education from SUNY Oswego. Scott continued her graduate studies at Oswego by earning a Master of Education in Literacy and later a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Educational Leadership.

Mrs. Scott writes, "During my time as Assistant Principal, I have learned so much, and I am grateful for the support that everyone at Brownville-Glen Park Elementary has provided me with. I have been inspired by the dedication to our students and the commitment to making this school a great place to learn and work."

"As I move into my new role, as building Principal, I want to assure you that my commitment to our school's mission remains steadfast. I will work tirelessly to ensure that our students receive the best education possible, that our teachers have the resources and support they need to excel, and that our school remains a safe and nurturing environment for all. I am honored to take on this new role, and I look forward to the upcoming 2023-2024 school year."

We know that Mrs. Scott is enthusiastic about beginning the next chapter in the proud history of Brownville-Glen Park Elementary. Congratulations Mrs. Scott and the entire General Brown community.
